This TUTORIAL and Sample Code shows and describes how u can easy create a C/C++ Library.dll File and load it with VB References Option! ... u dont need the ugly Declare Lib Statements and its really easy to make (no MFC.dll or unreadable Microsoft C++ Code). Make the DLL, load it with VB Reference Option and see ur C++Functions in VB Object Browser with ur own made Descriptions to it. I also added a .rtf (Wordpad) Tutorial how u create the DLL ... Have fun with it, and if u like it, plz Vote for me :)
V1.1 Now! i have fixed Auto ScreenMode Selection. My V1.0 DX8 Class Module is now finished :) ! Here is a nice (i think) example, what u can do with it. There not really all functions i could implement, but with this Version u can start play around with DX8 and my Class :). Modify it as u like - it contains : Auto Screen Mode Detect, Light, Texture, Custom Meshes, Transforms, Background, MousePointer ... Sorry for the less Comments in Code, but havent got much time to write a nice Doc. have fun ... This Code shows u a Room Scene. u can move with the cursorkeys through it and look around with the mouse (hold left button). I made a PerVertex Lightmap Calculation Routine,Field of View Object Culling,Camera Collision Detection and a nice Water Effect with a Mirror. On my XP1600 with GF2 i get a FPS of >100 with 1024x768 Mode. The Features are : Camera Movement,MipMapping,FOV Culling,Camera Collision Detection,Per Vertex Lightmap Calculation and a nice Water Effect with Mirror .. i hope it works for u ;)
